Linux Mint

For those people using XMarks and NoScript in Firefox who are having issues with the latest update not being allowed to sync here's a solution I've found. Other solutions may be available. I am using Linux Mint 8 XFCE with Firefox 3.6.6.

This post is aimed at helping new Linux users start to find their feet with some of the differences in the way things are done in Windows compared to Linux. My screenshots all come from Linux Mint7 XFCE CE, which is fully compatible with Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty, so the same applies. All mainstream Linux distros suitable for newbies will have a very similar approach although the exact tools may vary slightly.

For the last couple of days I've been left wondering if my mind is leaking, and transmitting what I like in a Linux distro as the latest Linux Mint XFCE CE (Community Edition) "Gloria" (it's the first time I've called a Mint edition by it's name, I usually use it's number) seems to hit almost every spot straight out the box.
