Firefox

For those people using XMarks and NoScript in Firefox who are having issues with the latest update not being allowed to sync here's a solution I've found. Other solutions may be available. I am using Linux Mint 8 XFCE with Firefox 3.6.6.

When I create thought out content like a blog entry I like to be neat. I like to check there are no typos etc. I also like to create my posts in a WYSIWYG editor too, it's just easier. I found that doing this in Drupal is not quite as easy as it should be; it requires additional modules. Last night I stumbled on an easy way.

Like millions of others I use Mozilla Firefox as my primary web browser, although my HPR episodes may have given that fact away. Like millions of others I install both AdBlockPlus and NoScript in every Firefox profile I use.

FireStatus for those who don't know, is a Firefox addon which lets you post to both Twitter and Identi.ca among others at the same time. It sits as a tiny icon in your status bar of Firefox until you need it.

Yesterday I came across an addon for Firefox called FootieFox which fills a need I've had for a long time but only had a sorta workaround fix to. As a football (soccer) fan, how do I keep updated on a day / evening of matches that I know are important to me. What I have done and continue to do is listen to BBC Radio 5 Live where they often do a full featured match commentary and get updates from other games as and when events merit it. The downside is that you're reliant on what they choose to cover.
